How it counts.
Each country decides what a day is and when its year starts. Domicile counts your days the way each one does, and only from what you confirm.
Five ideas behind every number.
- Every country keeps its own clock. Your days are counted on each country's own tax year and its own idea of a day, not on one calendar for all.
- Only what you confirm counts. Bookings, emails and location checks arrive as suggestions. They wait for your yes, because a booking does not prove you travelled.
- Plans stay plans. Future trips show you where you would stand. They never enter the real count.
- Gaps stay gaps. A missing day or a date two countries claim is shown for you to settle. Nothing is filled in by guessing.
- Every result names its rule. Each count records the rule version behind it, so your accountant can check it. A correction makes a new version; earlier ones stay as they were.
Where it stops.
Domicile is planning help, not tax or legal advice. It does not certify where you were or decide which country may tax you. Your accountant gets the detail in your report: what they receive.
